Where is Wallis Creek?

Wallis Creek is located in the suburb of Gillieston Heights within the Maitland City Council LGA. The main entry to the development is via Redwood Drive off Cessnock Road and is a short 5-minute drive from the Maitland town centre, a 30-minute drive to Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, and a 2-hours’ drive north of the Sydney CBD.

Is the Development Application (DA) approved?
No. The DA is currently under assessment by Maitland City Council, with DA consent anticipated mid-2024.
How do I secure a block of land?
Select your dream lot and secure it with a $1,000 (refundable) holding deposit. A contract will then be issued to your nominated solicitor or conveyancer. Upon signing the contract, payment of the 5% deposit (less the holding deposit of $1,000) is due. Settlement will occur 21 days after the land registration occurs.
When is the settlement date and what will I need?
Settlement will occur 21 days after the date land registration occurs (Settlement Date). The balance purchase monies payable under the contract, together with any adjustments, will be payable by you on the Settlement Date.
Do I have a choice of builder?

Yes, you have a choice of builder when creating your dream home in Wallis Creek. Walker can recommend some of our trusted building partners to help you. Your builder will need to adhere to the build design guidelines.

Are there build design guidelines?

For the delivery of this final stage of the Wallis Creek community, design guidelines have been proposed to encourage and promote a high-quality of building design that aims to protect your investment by ensuring all homes are built to a similar high architectural standard. A $5,000 cash rebate will be provided to landowners on completion of your build and landscaping, subject to final inspection by the Design Review Manager, to confirm compliance with the design guidelines.

How will the future stages of Wallis Creek be accessed?
The future stages of Wallis Creek at 457-527 Cessnock Road will be accessible through the existing Wallis Creek Development via Aspen Drive as well as a newly constructed entry road and signalised intersection off Cessnock Road.
What recreational amenities are available in Wallis Creek?

Victor Warby Reserve is located within existing Wallis Creek consisting of a basketball court, open space and play equipment. The DA currently before Maitland City Council also proposes an off-leash dog park, as well as a local park with BBQ facilities, picnic shelter, open space and play equipment that offers sweeping views over the Gillieston Heights valley out to Louth Park.
